Why we built Taxi Masr

Every Egyptian city has thousands of licensed taxis and professional drivers who know their streets inch by inch. Yet for many people "taking a taxi" has come to mean haggling over the price, a broken meter, and waiting on the kerb. Ride apps, meanwhile, arrived with private cars and prices that double in traffic and rain.

Taxi Masr brings together the best of both: the licensed official taxi you know and trust, with easy booking from your phone, and one rule we never compromise on: the official meter fare or less — never more.

Where we operate

Mansoura, Dakahlia Governorate is our launch city. We work with taxi captains and garages in Mansoura, Talkha and the surrounding areas. Next come the other cities of Dakahlia, then the Delta governorates. If you want Taxi Masr in your city, write to us — we prioritise by rider and captain demand.

Privacy and transparency
